Our Daily Drive By Tweet

Drive by Tweet

I love the little things in life that make you smile. A few weeks ago while driving from the farm to Egidio’s house, I noticed two signs on two lawns facing each other. I don’t know for sure… but it appears that the two neighbors were having a feud. My take on the first signs that I saw is that one neighbor had lost a beloved cat to an aggressive driver. House A was pointing the finger at house B… Publicly. House B was responding to the accusations… Publicly. While this is definitely not a good idea, it made the drive to Egidio’s much more interesting. In fact, we look forward to the signs. We have even circled back around to read the signs when they were lengthy, or when it was dark out. House A has stopped posting signs, but house B has now taken their passive aggressive behavior to the next level and have created a whole new form of social media. We refer to it as our drive by tweet of the day. I wonder if they see us pull up and stop the car so we can read what they have written. I would love to tell them what a kick we get out of their signs. I certainly don’t know what goes on in this house, and I have never seen these people. We have had many theories as to what exactly is going on with these neighbors. We don’t know, and it really doesn’t matter. What I do know is that they have a great sense of humor. Their defensive posts have now become philosophical. Yesterday’s post said “I had to forgive someone who never said they were sorry”, today… words of happiness. I can’t begin to tell you what a strong urge I have to sneak onto their lawn and tape a picture of a thumbs up hanging off the bottom of the chairs that holds the signs. You know, a Facebook “Like”. Of course I run the risk of them not knowing what the heck I am doing… then I might become to target of their next sign . So for now I will have to settle for my morning drive by tweet, it does make me smile!
